On a recent job in Nampa, we arrived for what looked like a simple spring replacement. The door was a sectional overhead door - horizontal panels on a curved track system - with a snapped torsion spring. Standard enough. But when we checked the opener mounting, we found the garage door opener was misaligned with the trolley, which had been causing the spring to wear unevenly. A straight spring swap would have put that door back in the same position within months.
